A light wooden structure discreetly hides within the midst of a ruin. A footbridge extending the entire length of the ruin provides access to the communal and utility rooms. Green courtyards allow nature to flourish and create a tangible experience. Floor-to-ceiling sliding windows allow light and air to permeate the interior and seamlessly connect with the outdoor space. On the lower level, the footbridge expands into a communicative communal area. The centerpiece of the house is the large stove with an open fireplace in the kitchen, where people cook in a convivial atmosphere. The sauna invites visitors to unwind and enjoy a view over the fields after a bike or hiking trail.
